Chapter 32

Carly’s POV:

@CarlyMcKinley: Just finished an interview with @TigerBeat! Thanks for having me(: xx

@Harry_Styles: @CarlyMcKinley You look beaautiffuuullllllll. Now get on Skypeee pleaasseeeeee x

@CarlyMcKinley: @Harry_Styles Alrighty, bossy :P

I simply smiled as I exited out of Twitter and went on my Skype app on my phone. I wasn’t at a hotel or on the bus, and was actually in my dressing room back stage at the arena here in Miami. As I went on Skype, I was immediately getting a call from the curly haired boy, and I answered him right away. My phone screen was now occupied by Harry’s grinning, dimply face as he holds Coco in his lap.

“Coco!” I grin widely at the sight of my little dog.

“Look Coco, it’s Mum,” Harry grins, pointing at the laptop screen. Coco barks and I laugh. “Don’t you look smashing,” Harry says, looking at me – well, at the screen.

I blush. “Thanks,” I say. “I’m actually backstage at the arena. The concert’s in like, two hours.”

“What’re you doing there so early?” Harry raises an eyebrow.

“Soundcheck, duh,” I roll my eyes, chuckling. “So what have you been up to today?”

Harry sets Coco down somewhere, and I hear his little paws pad away. “The lads and I were out playing football today. It was pretty awesome.”

I smile at him, and I suddenly hear my door open. Turning around, I see that it’s the boys of Allstar Weekend. “Oh, sorry, are we interrupting something?” Cameron asks.

I shake my head, motioning them to come in. “No, it’s fine,” I say. “Harry, this is Allstar Weekend. Cameron, Zach, Nathan, and Michael,” I say, showing the camera to Harry so he can see the boys.

“Nice to meet you,” Harry smiles.

“Guys, this is my boyfriend, Harry,” I smile.

Zach grins. “It’s nice to meet you, man,” he says.

“Yeah,” Michael adds. “It’s great to see the guy Carly won’t shut up about.”

I roll my eyes. “Shut up, Michael,” I say, causing the guys to laugh.

“We wanted to tell you that we just finished sound check, and now it’s your turn,” Nathan says.

I nod, looking back at the camera. “I have to go, babe,” I tell Harry, pouting slightly.

Harry gives me a smile. “Alright,” he says. “I’ll talk to you later, Carls. Love you!”

“Love you too!” I grin, before hanging up.

Just as I do, all of the guys go, “Aww.”

I roll my eyes, chuckling as I walk past them and on to the stage.

“So how are things going for you and Harry Styles?” Chelsey asks.

I was on Chelsey Lately for an interview, and it had been an interesting couple of minutes. She asked me the most random questions and we shared a good laugh. “Good,” I smile.

“How do you two deal with the distance? Especially since you’re going all around North America and he’s stuck at one place,” Chelsey crosses her legs.

I chuckle. “We keep in touch,” I tell her. “We Skype whenever we’re free or tweet each other.”

Chelsey laughs. “I know, we’ve all seen your adorable tweets,” she smirks and I blush. “Now, I’ve always wanted to ask this, what’s up with his tattoos?”

“What do you mean?” I ask, cocking my head.

“Like, he has so many!” Chelsey exclaims with a laugh.

            “Fourty-two, actually,” I tell her matter-of-factly, smiling.

Chelsey’s eyes widen. “Fourty-two?!” her jaw drops. “Jesus Christ!”

I laugh. “No, but the thing is, all of his tattoos have a special meaning,” I tell her. “Like, he has his sister’s name in Hebrew, and an ‘A’ for Anne which is his mum’s name. And he has LA, NYC, and LD for London because those are three important places for him.”

Chelsey nods, listening carefully. “Do you have a favorite tattoo that he has?”

I think for a moment, and then grin and nod. “Yeah,” I say. “He has this one quote on his wrist which says ‘I can’t change’. I just think that that’s a beautiful quote, you know? Like, no one can change the person that he is, because he chose to stay that way. I think it’s absolutely brilliant.”

I hear the crowd ‘aw’ as I blush slightly and Chelsey smiles. “Do you ever plan on getting a tattoo?”

I laugh. “I don’t know,” I say honestly. “I guess I’d be too scared to. But even if I do, I’d want it to be something meaningful – and not just for the sake for having a tattoo.”

“So you’re not against tattoos?” Chelsey raises an eyebrow.

I shake my head. “No,” I say. “Besides, if I was, I think four-fifths of One Direction wouldn’t like that,” I smirk.

Chelsey laughs. “Especially that boyfriend of yours,” she smirks.

            I laugh, nodding. “Definitely.”

The interview ended a couple of minutes later, and I walked out of the building and into the car where Kristen and Randy were waiting for me. As we drove back to the hotel for me getting some down-time, Kristen looked over to me.

“You ready for tonight’s concert?” she asks.

            I nod. “Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?”

A smirk plays on Kristen’s lips. “It’s full of surprises, I’ll tell you that.”

Now, what could she possibly mean?
