Chapter 48 - Her Bitch

Kelsey’s POV:

“Ooh Kelsey!” I heard Harry’s voice sing out, and I looked up from the iPad to see Harry enter the room.

“How can I help you?” I ask, chuckling slightly as I lock the iPad as Harry giddily walks into the room, coming on the bed and sitting down in front of me on his knees.

Harry grinned cutely, his dimples making a pleasant appearance. “Close your eyes and hold your hands out,” he tells me, “I have something for you.”

“O-kay,” I say confusedly, but close my eyes nonetheless and put my palms out. I then feel something on my hands, feeling like paper, and I open my eyes to see that I’m staring down at what looked like two plane tickets. “What the – what’s this?” I ask, looking back up at Harry.

The smile never left his face. “Two plane tickets to Miami, tomorrow night,” he says. “I figured, before it’s too late, you might wanna go back to visit Logan and whatnot, and I’ll come with you. You know, before you’re too pregnant to travel.”

“Thank you,” I grinned widely, looking down at the tickets. “This is amazing, Haz. I have to tell Logan.”

“Already did,” Harry chuckles, “what you’ve gotta do now is start packing.”

I smile and look at him. “Help me?” I ask innocently, staring at him with wide eyes

“Sure,” he rolled his eyes, smiling as the two of us got off the bed.

Let’s just say, when it comes to packing, I’m the worst and Harry’s the best at it. I just dump everything and anything in there, while Harry actually neatly folds and puts everything in order. So it came in handy to have him help me with my packing, since I was such a slob when it came to things like these.

As I tossed yet another pair of my maternity pants in my suitcase, Harry picked it up. “You are literally the worst at packing,” he says, laughing as he starts folding them.

I laugh and throw my shirt at his face as I watch it drop on the floor after it hits him. “Shut up,” I say, “that’s what you’re here for.”

“I see that that’s what my life has come to,” Harry sighs jokingly as he put a pair of his shorts in his suitcase.

“Your life came to this the minute we found out I was pregnant, buddy,” I tell him and then with a grin I add, “you’re my bitch.”

Harry stopped what he was doing and stared at me with those bright green eyes. “Did you just call me your bitch?” he asks, looking a bit shocked.

“Maybe,” I taunt, “what’re you gonna do about it?”

“Well, I’d normally tackle you on the bed,” he says and my eyes widen. “But since you’re pregnant, that’s out of the question.” I let out a sigh of relief. “But I can do this.”

I looked at him in confusion just as he took a long stride towards me, his arms sliding around my waist as if to hug me, but he planted his lips right on top of mine. I laughed against his lips as he continued to give me short kisses on my lips, and he held on to me tightly as I kept bending backwards.

The laughter that escaped my mouth as soon as Harry fully pressed his lips on top of mine, kissing me properly and I responded immediately. I stood up straight as Harry’s hands cupped my face, my own hands placing themselves on his neck.

When we pulled away, Harry brushed his nose with mine cutely. “I love you,” he murmured.

My stomach twisted pleasantly as I smiled back. “I love you, too,” I reply. “Now finish the packing.”

Harry groaned as he stepped away from me. “Kill joy.”

“Logan!” I squealed, running over and hugging my best friend.

“Kelsey,” he laughed, hugging me back, “Jesus, you’re big.”

I pull away, rolling my eyes. “Thanks.”

He chuckled as Harry walked up. “Thanks for picking us up, mate,” he says to Logan, who nodded with a smile.

“Any time, man,” Logan replies with a smile.

We then got into Logan’s car and I sat in the backseat as the two boys talked about guy stuff. It was so weird to see Harry and Logan all chummy now because just a couple of months ago, they couldn’t stand each other. And now, they’re talking like they’ve known each other their whole lives. Probably because Logan got over whatever anger he felt towards Harry and converted it to love for his girlfriend, Rachel.

Logan had driven us to our hotel, which was by the beach and had a beautiful view, and helped us with our bags. When we got to our room and put our stuff away, Harry spoke up.

“I want lunch,” he says, “are there any good places to go out?”

“Tons,” Logan smiles, “my girlfriend works at the diner downtown. We could go there, if you want.”

“I’m in,” Harry says, and then the two look at me.

I sigh. “Can you guys wait, like, ten minutes?” I ask, “pregnant girl needs to take a shower.”

They both laughed. “Go ahead, love,” Harry says, “we’ll wait.”

I give them a grateful smile before pulling out a new outfit and going into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me. I step into the warm shower and quickly shampoo and condition my hair. Once I’m done, I slip into a loose baby pink tee and a pair of beige pants that surprisingly fit me. Quickly drying my hair and applying some makeup, I slip in a pair of my black flats and grab my bag before walking to where the boys were.

They were sitting on the couch, watching some American football that Harry might have missed out on before I greeted them. “Come on, I’m hungry,” I tell them.

“As you wish, Kels,” Logan chuckles as Harry shut off the TV and the two guys got up and we exited the hotel.

The three of us went into Logan’s car and he started driving towards the diner. When we got there, we walked inside and a bunch of people immediately recognized Harry and started whispering between one another. Logan led us to a booth and we sat down, and soon a familiar looking girl with light brown hair with bangs that covered her forehead and hazel eyes.

“Hey, Rach,” Logan smiled as the girl smiled, bending down to kiss him.

“Hey,” she chuckled, and then looked at Harry and I. “Whoa, Logan, I thought you were kidding when you said you knew them. And Kelsey, it’s been too long!”

Harry and I chuckled. “Nice to see you again, Rachel,” I say, “Logan’s told us a lot about you.”

Rachel blushed. “Good things, I hope,” she smiles and looks at Harry. “Big fan.”

Harry grinned dimply. “Thank you, love.”

She smiled. “Now, what can I get for you guys?”

“I’ll have my usual,” Logan tells her and she nods.

I glance at the menu and reply, “I should really have a salad… But I’ll take a cheeseburger with Sprite.”

Rachel laughs and writes it down, and Harry says, “I’ll have the same, but with Pepsi, please.”

“Got it,” Rachel smiles, “your food will be here in five minutes.”

We nod as she walks away, and I look at Logan. “I like her,” I tell him, “it’s been so long since I saw her.”

Logan chuckles, “glad I have your approval, Kelsey.” I scoff, rolling my eyes. “So how long are you guys here for?”

“A couple of days,” Harry says. “We need to be back in time for Kelsey’s second ultrasound.”

My eyes widened, my lips forming an ‘o’ shape. “I totally forgot about that.”

Harry raised his eyebrows at me as Logan laughed. “At least you have Harry to remind you of your appointments,” Logan says. “Aren’t you supposed to remember this type of stuff, Kelsey?”

I smiled sheepishly as Harry spoke up, sending me a smirk. “I’m her bitch.”
